This tour combo combines three tours in one - Swimming, snorkeling and sailing, all from a 40-ft. catamaran!

This is a small group adventure into an underwater paradise, with the living reefs of Oahu play host to hundreds of species of fish and other marine life.

During the sail along the North Shore, you will observe sea turtles near the shore, and Spinner dolphins can be seen many days as they come and escort the boat...the playful dolphins will surf the bow wave and put on a great show as they cavort in the catamaran's wake. The snorkeling spots this cruises stops at after about 90 minutes of sail time are home to sea turtles, and it is common for guests to come eye-to-eye with them while in the water.

After your adventure, you'll enjoy a smooth downwind sail back to Haleiwa Harbor, during which you can catch some rays or rest in the shade of the big main sail. This is how it's done in paradise!

COVID-19 Protocols Updates

  • As of March 26, 2022, Hawaii's Safe Travels Program no longer exists, meaning there are no travel restrictions or mandates for domestic USA travelers. Travelers arriving in Hawaii from international airports must still comply with U.S. federal requirements. Consult with your airline for details.

Sailing is one of the most popular activities in Hawaii, and the Swim, Snorkel & Sail vessel, a 40-ft. catamaran, provides visitors with a comfortable sailing experience. After exploring the underwater scenery while snorkeling Hawaii, relax aboard the catamaran for a cold soft drink and a smooth sail back to the harbor.

Non-alcoholic beverages and all snorkel equipment are included.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How far is Haleiwa from Waikiki? -- It's about 1 hour of driving time from Waikiki, via H1 and H2.

What kind of experience do I need for a snorkeling tour? -- None! The only thing you need to enjoy the sailing trip is a sense of adventure and an appreciation for the ocean. Your guides will provide all snorkeling gear and safety instructions.

Do you always see dolphins? -- The tour often encounters dolphins, but not every day. Like all wild animals, it is up to them when they want to be seen...but sometimes, they will come right up to the boat and play!

Is a catamaran different than traditional sailing? -- Catamarans are smoother-riding than single hulled vessels. This 40' catamaran is the perfect size for a sailing adventure off the coast of Oahu. The sailing catamaran is Coast Guard certified for 27 passengers, the snorkel tours have a max passenger count of 16.

What sort of marine life can I expect to see while snorkeling? -- There is never a lack of Hawaii marine life on these sailing trips. Tours often find the spinner dolphins, and nearly every day the Honu, or Hawaiian sea turtle, stops by for a visit. On the snorkeling tours, you'll also see a myriad of diverse reef ecology beneath the surface.

Can I bring my children with me on my sailing trip? -- Of course! Snorkeling and swimming from Oahu is a wonderful family adventure. It is also a great educational experience for all members of the family. However, guides caution those wanting to bring toddlers and small children under 4 yrs or age: the catamaran is very stable, but has open railings and does sway up and down with the waves. Moving about the boat safely requires holding on with at least one hand, which can be hard when holding a small child...parents MUST be extremely careful, and mindful about where toddlers or younger children are at all times while they are on the boat.

What should I bring on my Hawaii snorkeling tour? -- Be prepared for lots of fun! You should be prepared for the warm Hawaiian sun, and the occasional passing shower. Please bring a light jacket, your camera, sunscreen, a hat and your bathing suit.

Can I get seasick during the sailing trips? -- The catamaran is very stable and few people get seasick. However, if you are prone to motion sickness, or have never been on a boat, it would be wise to take some sort of sea sickness preventative at least one hour before the trip.

How far in advance should I book my tour? -- The earlier you book your Oahu snorkeling tour, the better. There is a 2-day advance reservation requirement for this tour, and it does sell out quickly.

Where can we rent underwater cameras, wet suits and prescription masks? -- Guides will provide regular masks and snorkels in small, medium and large sizes on the boat. They do not provide wet suits. One-time use underwater cameras will be available for sale on board. But if you are looking for something more substantial and would like to rent special equipment, there are dive and snorkel shops in Haleiwa and Honolulu that carry such items.

Is there anything else to do in the area for those in my party that are not going on the boat? -- Absolutely. The harbor is surrounded by beautiful public beaches. The harbor is located within walking distance from the tour's departure location, and close to lots of great shops and sightseeing in Haleiwa town.
